The Vidyalaya started functioning in the year 1988 in the civil sector under the aegis of South Western Railway, Bangalore city being the Sponsoring Authority. The Vidyalaya has grown from its initial state of 5 classes (single section from I to V) to a senior secondary school with 2 section classes upto class XII with Science and Commerce streams.
